ExpatsEvent

Moving to a new country is exciting — until the second week, when the logistics fade and the loneliness shows up. ExpatsEvent is built to shorten that gap for newcomers in Lisbon.

It curates social events across eight categories — networking, culture, food, language exchange, music, sports, remote work, and community — and surfaces them through a browsable feed and a weekly email digest. Practical guides cover the unglamorous essentials (NIF, banking, transport), and the community can submit its own events.

Built with Next.js and Supabase, it now connects 4,800+ expats across 120+ events a month.
